ORACLE 9i NEW FEATURES FOR DEVELOPERS CLASS

This class can be combined with another class, Oracle Internet Directory for Developers, for a total of 5 days

DESCRIPTION

In this class, students will learn about the new features of Oracle 9i that are relevant to application developers. The lessons provide detailed information on database new features and structural changes that are relevant to any programming or application environment students might be using. This hands-on class contains tutorials and exercises to practice learning the changes in SQL and PL/SQL, and the enhancements to the object technology. Administrative features related to performance, security, data warehousing, and globalization are studied from a developer perspective.

Note: This class can be customized to answer specific customer needs.

AUDIENCE

Application developers, database developers, technical team leaders.

PREREQUISITES

Students should possess the following prior to attending:

  • General knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL .

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR CLASS SETUP

  • PC-equipped classroom. Projector to display instructor's PC.
  • Oracle 9i ORDBMS Release 9.2 .
  • Database accounts for each client PC with CRUD priveleges on tables, views, triggers, procedures and packages.
  • SQL*Plus on client machines.

    Note: The client will need a technical person to install class tables on a non-production database server, client product on students'/instructor's PCs, client class files. Also to check install and call instructor to verify all set five days before class.

LOCATION AND MAXIMUM ATTENDANCE

All classes are scheduled and held at client site training rooms. No minimum attendance requirement. Maximum number of students: 16.
